If anyone's been eyeballing the airplay charts, Toxic is rapidly gaining. It's already Top 20 with over 1300 spin gains. If you remember, Me Against The Music did the SAME thing. It was a rpid hit, meaning it gained fast, and dropped like flies. Toxic looks to be heading down the same path. To be honest, the only way to can prevent this is massd requesting. I'm not saying flood station e-mails with requests, but call up every 15 minutes for 3 hours maybe. This doesn't need to become a trend here. In Florida, it's already dropping. It was #1 once and is about to nosedive. Because nobody is requesting, so they stop playing. Get on the stick. IF you really want to help Britney, do it now. Show people you're serious about wanting to hear the song.

I think I'm the only one who hasn't heard Toxic on the radio yet. My station isn't even playing the song a decent amount of spins. I call to request and either get the usual, "I'll see what I can do", or the "We're not playing it yet". But really, Britney songs always tend to stick with the rise fast, fall quick scenario anyways. I don't ever remember Britney having a hit with longevity except for "Baby". But I'm gonna keep requesting anyway and everyone should stick with it as well. Brit deserves another hit song.

i don't think this will happen to 'toxic'. I don't know why, it is just so much more accepted than matm. No one other than fans really gave matm a chance. All of my friends and family, who hate britney, all LOVE toxic, the song and video. I just don't see this happening, as i know this is the case all over America--people who odn tlike Britney, like this song. Of course, requesting can never hurt--so by all means do what he says! lol! I just think people are worrying over nothing. It will be fine.

LUCKY wasnt a rise quick, fall quick scenario. In fact, Lucky was a bigger hit than Baby, even if it didnt go to 31. Statistically, it was a bigger hit.

I don't know anyone who doesnt like Britney, but likes the song. But I do know people who don't like Britney, who love Outrageous...but, its looking to be another fly-by hit.

I think it will do slightly better than matm though.
