Mary J. Blige will belt it out and Nelly, Avril Lavigne, DMX, Jimmy Fallon and others will hand it out when the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards unfold on August 28 at New York's Radio City Music Hall.
Blige has been confirmed to join a list of performers that already includes 50 Cent, Good Charlotte, Coldplay and Christina Aguilera (see "50 Cent, Good Charlotte To Perform; Diddy, Kelly Clarkson To Present At VMAs"). Blige heads into the night with a nomination for her work with Common on his "Come Close" video and a new album as her Love & Life LP hits stores on August 26 (see "Mary Gets Giddy On 'Ooh!,' States The Facts While Eve Attacks On 'Not Today' ").
Meanwhile, Nelly, Avril, DMX and Fallon join Pamela Anderson, Pharrell, Drew Barrymore, Ben Stiller, Dave Navarro, Jason Biggs, Lil Jon and Duran Duran as the latest presenters added to the VMA roster. P. Diddy, Ashanti, Kelly Clarkson, Redman, Evanescence, Hilary Duff, Ludacris, Tony Hawk, Bam Margera, David Spade, Snoop Dogg, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, and LeBron James have already been announced as presenters.
The 2003 VMAs, hosted by Chris Rock, will be broadcast live on MTV at 8 p.m. ET. Immediately before the show, MTV News will serve up live pre-show coverage beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET.
