I Want A Double Order of Pepperoni, With A Cob Of Corn On The Side. | | I Just Wanna Live, the latest video from the genre-confused Good Charlotte debuted on MTV's TRL just two hours ago, and the boys were at the Times Square studio to launch it... and toss out a few props as well... litterally.
The new video is a comical stab at the ways of the celebrity world today. The video commences with the band finishing up a set with "Walk Away (Maybe)" to a barely-there crowd in a Baltimore club. When their attempt at making it big fails, the boys find jobs as mascots for Saul's, and end up handing out flyers to passers-by.
When they fail at that job, they sit on the curb in their costumes: Benji is a cob of corn, Joel is a pizza, Billy a Strawberry, Paul: cheeseburger, and the other one is a carrot. A limo pulls up, and the boys end up as a touring rock band who get caught up in the celebrity lifestyle. The cob of corn gets arrested, the strawberry kicks the carrot - played by drummer Chris Wilson - and gets into a "food fight", the cheeseburger is busted having an affair, the pizza has a sex-tape scandal with a girl who has a slight resemblance to Hilary Duff. And last but not least, Joel gets caught lipsyncing, and it makes the cover story of "We" Magazine.
And yes, Errick, the word before "girls" and after "fake" is not censored. For those of you who don't know, that word is "ass".
The song is a common favourite amongst GC fans, and for those with a sense of humour, the video should be as well. |
