Should Hilary Duff, America's reigning teen queen, follow the career trajectory of a number of her peers, she will end up either a) in rehab, b) battling an eating disorder, c) married to a backup dancer or d) baring more and more for less and less.
But Duff, 17, made clear one recent morning that she had no plans to sully her Girl Scout image -- at least not anytime soon.
"I think growing up means different things for different people," she said, her slight 5-foot frame wrapped snug in a fluffy pink cardigan. "I don't think it means taking your clothes off and going out and partying." Nor, she added, does it mean "having my boobs pushed up to my chin."
