This song is supposed to be upbeat and slowing it down (like this version) really doesn't make it any better at all.

I think Madonna's record company had something to do with the movie. I could have swore I seen a logo in the trailer.

It probably is Warner Bros. Wouldn't shock me, but usually theyre good about separating their music production co and their movie co.
Im sure it was their idea to use the song, but nobody really had to pay much to do so.
