Ummm... I don't think Britney went double platinum. In the little article that was on the front page of Billboard.com that I read said that she sold something like a total of 1,450,000... not 2,000,000.

it is double platinum, go look at the billboard 200 and find ITZ. in the corner there is a triangle w/ a 2 beside it. That means it is double platinum.

Yes, she is double platinum with that little symbol, but that doesn't mean copies sold. The little triangle with the two means two million copies shipped - not sold. That's why Clay Aiken had double platinum within a week too. The Billboard charts are a little misleading in that way.
