Default Ashlee Simpson -Autobiography Tour

-BEFORE I BEGIN. I DO NOT WANT TO SEE ANY REPLIES ABOUT ASHLEE LIPSYNCHING, OR ANY NEGATIVITY TOWARDS ASHLEE WHATSOEVER. THIS IS A THREAD FOR ASHLEE *FANS* WHO HAVE SEEN HER LIVE ON THIS TOUR, OR ARE GOING TO SEE HER LIVE ON THIS TOUR, AND WOULD LIKE TO COMMENT ON IT-

I seen Ashlee last night in Toronto, and she BLEW MY MIND. I actually went in, thinking that maybe it would be alright, but to be honest, between thinking I had bad seats, and not reading any reviews or anything, I actually wasnt all that excited.

When I got there, I realized that my seats were pretty good. Massey Hall is tiny, and I forgot that. We were in the second balcony, which is the highest, but we were in the front row. I was still closer then I have been to Britney, ever. However, I have a thing about collapsing. For the first week I was in my new apartment, I thought for sure it was going down. Anyways, so I was so nervous up in this balcony, that I was shaking, and almost crying, and I felt like it was going to collapse. It didnt help that whenever someone walked near me, I could feel the floor moving. rofl

Anyways, so the first opening act, was Peppers Ghost or something and OH.MY.GOD. They were TERRIBLE! No one in the band had a set role or instrument, and at one point, one of the singers had sex with the floor, and practically had a seizure. My friend Andrea, my boyfriend Derek and I were laughing so hard at them. The second band, was The Click Five, and they were good. We liked them. They were more power pop and ADORABLE! Each band had half an hour.

Ashlee came out at nine, and I flipped. Andrea and I started crying and screaming. lmfao We were such teenyboppers and we loved it. She started with Autobiography, which, I had a bet with my boyfriend. He said LaLa and I said Autobiography, so I was like, "TOLD YOU! AHH ASHLEE!" lmfao

The setlist went as follows:

Autobiography
Nothing New
Love Me for Me
Shadow
Harder Everyday (European track)
Undiscovered
Giving It All Away
Love Makes the World Go Round
Hollywood (unreleased track)
Surrender (w/ a few lines from Hole's "Celebrity Skin")
Medley (Pretenders' "Brass in Pocket" - Blondie's "Call Me" - Madonna's "Burning Up")
La La
Pieces of Me (Encore)

She did AMAZING. Autobiography was really rocked up, all of the songs were actually. The anticipation for her to come out was INCREDIBLE. rofl Andrea and I were freaking out. She had the crowd eating out of her hand from the minute she walked onstage, until she left. The girl can hold a crowd like you wouldnt believe.

Nothing New was awesome. I love this song, and I love how her voice cracks and rasps. We were freaking out for this song, because be both love it. Before she did it, she talked about being in a relationship and stuff and then afterwards, she goes, "He broke up with me anyways." and everyone "Awww'd" and shes like, "Its ALRIGHT, guys, its good to get away from psycho boyfriends." LOL

When she did Love Me For Me, she said that she had tackled a really hard year, and this song was kind of her anthem, so it made Andrea and I cry when she sang the line, "Here I am, perfect as Im ever gonna be, you'll see, love me for me." because hearing her say that she's gone through alot, and knowing she has, and knowing that she's still okay, and she's still living out her dream, I dunno, we're emotional people and it made us cry. *lol*

Shadow was also emotional, because again, you know what she went through, and its an emotional song anyways, but when she's right there, pouring her heart out to you, its 10x as emotional. I'd say we cried, to show how emotional it was, but Andrea cried for LaLa, so I doubt it would hold any bearing. lmfao

Harder Everyday was really good. It was a little awkward, because I didnt know the words, and we belted out every other song, but I really liked it.

Undiscovered was AWESOME. She talked about her movie thats coming out, and how originally it was titled "Wannabe", but how they just changed the name to "Undiscovered" and how much of an honour it was to her for them to do that. I already wanted to see it, but Andrea and I vowed to be the first two in line. LOL

For Giving It All Away, Love Makes The World Go Round, and Hollywood, it was her, Ray and (I BELIEVE) Zach just sitting on stools, and doing them acoustic. Hollywood is new and AMAZING. Its all about Ashlee being in LA, and homesick and calling her mom just saying, "I want to come home to Texas.. like.. NOW!" lol She sounded amazing during it though, that girl can sing.

Love Makes The World Go Round was again, amazing. I loved when she did the line, "Stumblin' through all this static.." because thats on my Ashlee wallpaper right now. lmfao

The two new (unreleased) songs, were incredible. Im going to find audio of them later, but they were just awesome. The medley of The Pretenders, Blondie and Madonna were awesome. She worked those songs like they were hers.

LaLa was AMAZING. She came out in a hat, a boa and high heels and did it caberet style for the beginning of it, and then threw the hat and boa, kicked off her shoes and rocked the song barefoot. The crowd went BUCK WILD for this song. I called my mom from my cell, and just held it out for half the song, because she loves it.

She went off stage for like.. 4 minutes before coming out in a white top and skirt, and doing Peices Of Me. You wouldnt believe the screaming. EVERYONE was singing and dancing. It was crappy though, because you knew the concert was over. :-/

All in all though, she did incredible. There wasnt a bad thing about the show. She sounded incredible, she looked incredible, she held the crowd, she did her adorable little dance moves. OH and if anyone watches the show, and seen the episode from season two, where she was trying to get her whole band to do the move where they jump together and then do jazz hands, but at the show, it was only her and Zach (is this Zach, or is it Braxton? Im out of it today. lol) that did it?* They did that! Just her and him, it was awesome.

*This was from the episode, so you know what Im talking about:

OH, and she also said that she was excited to be in Canada, because she's 20, and cant drink at home. lol Then she giggled and said, "Im just kidding." She also said that her mom flew out from LA to see her, and was in the audience somewhere. Andrea and I were like, "TINA???" and looking around for her. lol

Before the show started, I bought a poster, a teddy bear, a tour book and a sticker sheet, and then afterwards, we went back down and I got a set of buttons and a lanyard. Im a merch horse, so I couldnt resist buying more. lol I would have got both posters, but the one I DIDNT get, was just the album cover, so Im SURE that Music World or HMV or any other music store will get it in. There was nothing tour-ish about it at all.

Andrea really liked The Click Five, so she bought the little three or four song cd, and it came with a blue rubber bracelet, like the Lance Armstrong ones. She also got the same poster as me, an Ashlee t-shirt, the bear and the tour book.

We had so much fun, and I wouldnt even be over shooting if I said that this was one of the best concert's I've ever been to. She really amazed me, and I cant wait for her to tour again. Im really hoping they either release a live DVD or at least a live CD. I'd buy it for sure. I wish she was coming back somewhere around here, like Montreal, because it would really be worth the bus fare/ride to go see her again.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, 100% live, and 115% amazing. (I know I said not to discuss it, but Im just sharing that YES she is singing live on her tour. What I meant by not talking about it, is saying, "Oh, I didnt get tickets because she'd prolly just lipsynch anyways." Dont want to hear about it.)

See, thats where I lucked out, because I was in the highest balcony, but the venue is TINY, so seriously, I was still pretty close. I paid $55 for my ticket, which was a rip-off I think, because the people ine the first row paid the same. lmfao

It was! I <333 her!! <333

THAT pissed me off, the fact that I would have paid what people in front paid, that's retarded. The same thing happened when I wanted to go see No Doubt/Blink last year, even worse those tickets had "obstructive view" warning. Who's gonna pay $50 to see a band when you can't even see them

If you find the audio for Hollywood let me know, I wanna hear it!
