In the show, it makes it look like her lyrics are very thoughtful and meaningful because they spent so much time on them, but when I really look at her lyrics, they're stupid and annoying. "I have stains on my t-shirt and I am the bigget flirt" wtf? That has no thought to it. That just pisses me off for some reason. If you're actually gonna sit there on a hill, watch the sunset with two other people and write music, atleast make it half-decent. |

They come from her mind. To YOU they may be stupid and annoying, but then again, it isn't your album nor your feelings or thoughts your expressing, is it?
Once again I reitterate: Why do you come in ASHLEE SIMPSON threads if you don't like HER or her MUSIC? Y'all make NO sense. | |

OK, I FINALLY heard 'Pieces of Me' in Pittsburg, and they played it all the time, so I don't know how I missed it before. I am sooo freaking obsessed with this song. Its really IMO one of the best songs I've heard this year. I can't wait to buy her cd. I really like her voice, and the fact that she writes her own songs -hallelijuah! I think shes a cutie too.  | |

Karen, you're right, that is one way to look at it. Eh, I dunno, I guess I just expected something meaningful because of how much emphasis they put on that she writes her own music. *shrugs* | |

I just downloaded Pieces of Me because I was really curious. Now while I don't think that her voice is all that, I DO have to admit that I like the song. I really like it.
But I'm a mess today and am about to cry after listening to it though.  I wish I could relate. | |
