some losers do it because they want to be cool, and all cool people speak inproper english. (pun intended) Others just do it caus it sounds best in that area or it expresses how you speak. which is not very edumacated.

It is because those types of people typically are not very educated. That is just the way they talk.

Interesting... so the general conclusion would be that when writing songs, you're basically 'allowed' to misuse the language in order for your song to sound better.

Specifically the ones in which rapping takes place. So basically, a rap song wouldn't sound cool unless you write it the exact same way as those ghetto people would, right? Can't get no satisfaction from proper English rapping action...

Can-not get no ... ---> means you can. Nice going John. Those particular errors occur in my language a lot too actually.

But anyways, I always believed that when you're writing a poem, and you end up having to make changes to the grammar in order to make the poem flow better, then you're not doing it right. But I guess rap music is an exception then.

can't give you exact reasons for why rap sounds like a whole mess of improper english, but there are definite factors -- among them: education level,
That's ignorant...just because proper grammar is not used in rap songs doesn't mean that the writter is uneducated or has a lower education level...

If everyone used proper grammer in their music, what would their music really bring? The way in which someone talks is part of their culture and their background in my opinion. Their improper grammar reflects themselves in a way.

Doesn't make a difference to me, as long as the song is good. Just depends on where you're from. Nobody is perfect, and I don't expect everyone I meet to speak perfect English. In fact, it annoys me. EVERY person does it every so often. All music artists do it. If perfect English was spoken in a song, it'd sound...bleh. Variations of certain words help fit rhyme schemes of some songs, and to me, slacking on words is just easy

Actually, that would be right. "no" is used in place of "any" or "a". So it wouldn't mean they have a problem.

it's actually not ignorant. note how i did not say "stupid people." nor did i explicitly say anything about "intelligence." 5th-graders use the language differently than high schoolers or college-level students would. that has to do with their profiency with the language -- a separate variable from education level, though often (but not always) very closely related.

and yes, the way one uses language is a reflection of background and culture.

I hope you're not implying that there should be guidelines to writing a song. Because I would imagine someone of your intellect would know better.

Haha, I'm not an American, I don't imply stuff. I'm not afraid to say it like I think it, so if that was what I was trying to say, I would have said it with those exact words. But seeing as I didn't, that's not what I was trying to say. Interpretation at your own risk of course.

And my intellect is yet to be determined.
