Never short of an excuse to enjoy a party, singer Madonna was in festive spirit once again at the weekend, all in the name of Kabbalah, the Jewish sect she supports.

Celebrating the festival of Purim, fancy dress was the order of the day - so Madonna donned a 1920s outfit, complete with feathered boa and cigarette holder.

Husband Guy Ritchie fast-forwarded a few decades by decking himself out in a police officer's outfit, akin to a camped-up Village People member.

While he may have come dressed as a figure of authority at the Kabbalah event, it would appear that's where his powers end when it comes to the Jewish sect.

It has been reported the film director does not wholeheartedly approve of Madonna's commitment to Kabbalah, which saw her recently donate £1.5 million to set up a centre in Malawi.

I think its amazing that madonna and her hubby have stayed together for so long. Its hard for celebs to stick with eachother through that years. Good on them

There's probably some huge settlement papers that keep them together. I never thought they were suited to each other, but that's my opinion. I could be wrong.

just today, i saw in a magizine i was reading, it showed that madonna and her husband where fighting constanlty and on the rocks, madge does not like his mens night out. It just goes to show, you never know
