Beyonce Lands Janet Jackson Duet For New Film | | Beyonce, Janet, Will Music For 'Shark's Tale'
It's still a long way away, but it already sounds as if the soundtrack for DreamWorks' "A Shark's Tale" -- which stars the voices of Robert DeNiro and Will Smith -- is going to be something spectacular.
Super record producer Jimmy "Jam" Harris, who, with partner Terry Lewis, is working on the animated project, notes, "Obviously we'd love to have the involvement of Janet (Jackson) and Beyonce, who we just worked with on 'Fighting Temptations.' They've already expressed interest. There are a lot of opportunities with an animated piece to work with some different people, but we'll call all our friends."
He adds, "Will Smith is going to definitely do his thing."
The legendary, multi-Grammy-winning team of Harris and Lewis are now poised to get into the Hollywood action in a major way, according to Harris.
"We started Flyte Time West because we're going to be concentrating more on the film and TV music side of the business," reveals the Minneapolis native.
Harris says they have DreamWorks' honcho Jeffrey Katzenberg to thank for the plum "A Shark's Tale" assignment. "We worked for DreamWorks before on the Bryan Adams song for 'Spirit' and the Boys II Men tune for 'Prince of Egypt' and Katzenberg is a fan of what we do. He thought we would be perfect to do the music for 'Shark's Tale.'" |
