| Backstreet Boys new single, "Crawling Back to You" | | So, I feel a bit hesitant about this because it's my favorite song from "Never Gone" and I don't want them to ruin it for me, but it IS their new (US) single (the UK gets "I Still..."), "Crawling Back to You." Here's Billboard's review of it, as well as the mp3:
Crawling Back to You
BACKSTREET BOYS
Producer(s): John Fields
Genre: POP
Label: Jive (CD promo) Download
Backstreet Boys made a stunning (global) return earlier this year with the lush "Incomplete." All signals were go, but then radio missed out on uptempo follow-up "Just Want You to Know." Jive is striving to score again with third single "Crawling Back to You," another smart, melodic ballad that should meet favor with the group's maturing base, as well as fans of well-crafted songs at adult top 40. Perhaps midtempo pop stunner "Climbing the Walls" or critics' favorite "Poster Girl" might have been better choices, but let's hope programmers have weighed in favorably on "Crawling." There are plenty of hits left on current disc "Never Gone," but BSB's return to glory has little room for error, amid the novelty acts continually hogging the airwaves. This song has solid catalog potential. Does "My Humps"? —Chuck Taylor
Nice review, eh? I love the song so I thought I'd post. Be nice to it, it's fragile and emotional. My favorite part is the bridge (I believe it's the bridge; Nick sings it). It's intense! |

| "Beautiful Woman" is now. I feel it doesn't belong. I prefer the rest of the album over it, actually. <3 |

| I kind of expected they'd only have one major song from this record. This third single isn't that great, in my opinion, nor are people responding positively to it. Another waste of song to radio. |

As for "Crawling Back To You" it reminds me sooooo much of OTown I just get so excited. LOL. Amazing song. I was really sad that "Just Want You To Know" didn't do better because I think that song is sooo catchy and so upbeat and so just...makes you wanna rock out. Boo to radio listeners!
And having said that, I think I need to listen to "Never Gone"...it's been too long. |

| I KNOW ME TOO! I haven't listened in awhile. The only BSB I've been listening to is old school ("Hey Mr. DJ" <333). Let's pop in that ol' baby, "Never Gone." |

In fact, nationwide, it was the most picked song by programmers for two straight weeks. But, the audience wasn't feeling it. It researched horribly. The burn rate on it STARTED at about 40%. Burn means 'tired of', and out of the millions surveyes, 40% were tired of it before it even came to radio. "Crawling..." started out at 80% burn, so it was doomed from the beginning. |

| Well, like the article said, people missed out on "Just Want You To Know," and if that happens with "Crawling...," so be it. People won't know what they're missing. |

| Well, from a personal stand point, I know what I'm missing and I ain't cryin' over it lol. JWYTK was good for a bit but it got old quick, and Crawling just isnt catching on...its not the type of music that pop radio would whore out at this time. |
