All Saints dropped by record label | | All Saints' comeback looks set to be a short-lived affair as they have been dropped by their record label.
The all-girl group reformed last year but failed to match the success of fellow comeback group Take That.
In their heyday their hits Never Ever and Pure Shores reached the number one spot but their new album, Studio 1, entered the UK chart at number 40 and their second single Chick Fit failed to make an impact when released for download.
A statement from their label Parlophone said that "both the label and the group are proud of the album".
"All Saints are excited about moving forwards with their career and Parlophone wishes them the best of luck," it added.
Despite the upbeat tone of the statement, the Daily Mirror reports that there has been concern about the girls' comeback for some time.
"It got to the point where things couldn't go on any further and we had to admit it was over," an insider told the newspaper.
"There have been non-stop meetings about how best to break the news to their remaining fans."
All Saints split in 2001 after rumours of infighting.
