A VCD is sorta like a DVD but not. It holds a movie on it but usually not as good resolution as a DVD. You can make VCDs yourself if you have a VCD or VCD Supported DVD Player. All you need are mpg files and a burner and then you burn them and play them on the VCD player and they show on the television. I hope you understood that. i know what a vcd is...i just don't understand that compact player (see ebay link). I have a burner, you cant burn vcds on it, i dont think?

No you can play them in that. You can hook that up to your television and play the VCDs in it. I was gonna get one one time so I could play VCDs but instead I went with a DVD Player. You can play CDs in it and stuff with headphones. But it also has TV connections so you can hook it up to the TV and watch VCDs. Any more questions?

Yup. Some burning programs come with a VCD burning option, and if not, you can always download VCD Easy or Nero and use them to burn VCDs. Its very easy to do and IMO worth it since I download lots of mpgs from the net...

Nero doesnt...(?) You have to pick from the wizard at the beginning and the other is..http://www.vcdeasy.org/

http://www.vcdhelp.com will help you answer any other questions about VCDs you may have. They are pretty thourough you just have to look around.
