| I'm catholic technically, but I have beliefs that are personal to me, and I don't like the concept of sin. I believe more in what people feel. If you feel like you've done something wrong, whether it's a sin or not is unimportant, you know? Just do what feels right and then you'll be okay with yourself.

Besides, if you've ever done anything that you know is bad, that's a given that that's a sin right there. | If someone has no religion, then what are considered "sins" by religions don't apply to them. They might be sining in YOUR eyes, but to them they have done nothing wrong. This is where everything you just said sort of falls apart. I don't think there are any questions as to what is considered a sin by the Christian religion. The problem is when certian people of the faith take it upon themsevles to look down on those who aren't of the faith and call them wrong and insist that they are wrong. By YOUR standards they might be, but if they don't believe in the same thing you do, then it doesn't apply to them. |

Really, people who don't see the wrong in that are those who have psychological disorders and, IMO, they shouldn't have the same standards and rules held up to them as we would hold up to normal, everyday, peson who can think logically and morally on issues. |

That being said, EVERYBODY SINS! Trying to define sin away so that, whichever things you do which are considered sins aren't, so that, therefore, you can define yourself away as sinless is quite meaningless and futile.
That's like saying you are perfect! In fact, that is EXACTLY what it would be saying!
Simply put, sin is variance from perfection. No one is perfect, and so everybody sins. However, sin is also role-based, as mentioned above.
Why not simply admit that you do sin and just live with that? That would make you.....human |
