I think you can have kids at any age as long as you are still physically able to.

But does that mean as long as your body lets you or do you count IVF?

Hm, just thought of something. IVF was created so that couples who are not able to concieve naturally could have children. Lets say theres a 28 year old woman who wants to have a baby with her husband, but shes not able to concieve for one reason or another...wouldn't IVF be going against "what nature wants" in a way? If she's not able to concieve there must be a good reason for it, right? Nature is telling her "no". That's the argument I've seen used many times in this thread. So technically her body is not letting her have children, does that mean she shouldn't use IVF to concieve? And if no, then where do you draw the line of what's an acceptable situation to use IVF and what's not?

No I don't count IVF. I think that forcing your body to make a child is wrong and can do some major damage.

^Like what? I don't know of any people being majorily damaged because they had a child through IVF.

All it means when you have IVF is that for whatever reason your eggs weren't being fertilized. They take some eggs out, fertilize it, stick them back in, and from there it is just like a normal pregnancy. The trickest part already done

I don't even think men can begin to comprehend how hard it is for some women when they find out they can't have children. A lot of women have that urge to produce, to mother, and to take away that right..I think it would be down right CRUEL.

My mom couldnt have kids, and I have always felt so bad for her (My brother and I are adopted), that she had to miss out on that. IVF is a Godsend for a LOT of couples.

Nevermind. I thought you meant like the things they do with way older women that want to have kids. I mean women who are in their mid-40's or older. I'm not sure what they do exactly, but there can be also a risk of death incuded with the other risks as well. I know it involves a lot of pumping of drugs.

^Well a lot of women before they go through with IVF, they try to naturally conceive, except they take hormone shots, to up their chances. I don't really think its dangerous. Only thing thats so dangerous is it makes them moody as all get out.

My mum was 37 when she had me - if you could only have a baby up to the age of 35 I wouldn't be alive now.
