I just finished The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown, and now I'm halfway through East of Eden by John Steinbeck.

During Christmas break, I am thinking about reading The Crimson Petal and the White by Michel Faber, but I have yet to decide if its near-1,000-page bounty is worth the time investment.

I'll have to start reading And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie pretty soon. I think I'm going to buy a copy, because we'll only have time in English class to read it, and I'm naturally a slow reader.

I just finished "The Great Gatsby"...again. I can't get enough of that book. It could quite possibly be the one good thing to come out of the high school curriculum.

Now I'm reading "The Road To Madness - The Transition of H.P Lovecraft" which is a collection of short stories by the original master of the macabre. I'm a big fan.

I loved The Shining but the movie is awful. I hated it.

Stephen King is a great author.

I dont know if you've seen the more recent version. The STEPHEN KING version. It was a 3 part Mini-series on ABC back in 1997. They just released in on DVD last January. Stephen Weber played the main character, and Rebecca Demornay played Wendy. Anyways, it is a good movie.

Stanley Kubrik's The Shining (with Jack Nicholson) really is awful. I cant stand to watch it, it just butchered the book.
