[quote=ForeverInLoveWithJus]Apart from my boyfriends sexiest accent I love Welsh, QUOTE]

I'm Welsh , haven't got a strong accent however.. bummer. Hmm, I've never thought about it really. I like Scotish accents, they make me laugh in a good way!

Need I mention the British accents? Aside from that I like the Irish and Scottish brogue, Russian and Italian accents. And... though I like Spanish itself, somehow I don't like Spanish accents when it comes to English.

Gah it's English, Irish, Scottish or Welsh, not British.

There is no British accent, because quite frankly we all (the 4 countries that make up Great Britain ) sound quite different.

LOL Heck, even the English accent has different variations. (I think most North Americans are accustomed to referring to England as Britain, though.)

Ireland are not in "Great Britain", We are a part of the British Isles.

I quote Knowbritain.com

Quote:
Great Britain is the largest island in Europe. "Great Britain" is the collective name for the three countries of England, Scotland and Wales. It also includes the small adjacent islands but it does not include the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.

The expression "British Isles" is geographical and not political. They are a group of islands off the northwest coast of Europe consisting of Great Britain, the whole of Ireland, the Orkney and Shetland Islands, the Isle of Man, the Inner and Outer Hebrides, the Isle of Wight, the Scilly Islands, Lundy Island, the Channel Islands and many other smaller islands
Just to clarify

In my post, I meant "British" meaning those accents that are present on Great Britain (the geographic meaning). It was an umbrella term for all the accents I like on that island—from the more general Welsh to the more specific Received Pronunciation (BBC English). Hence, my use of "British accents". I didn't mean "British" as the now widespread synonym for "English".
