I disabled the console in the Java Plugin entry in the Control
Panel, by ticking the 'Do not start console' radiobutton.

Works with 1.4.x I know... using 1.4.1 myself...

Ah I don't have the Java Plugin windowy thing - I'm just running it from DOS and it's 1.2 something - takes too long to download anything heh.

And yeah I've been caught with leaving output going before, so I learnt there.

Yeah it did take a while - I'd say about 60-70 hours or so, and there's some pretty tricky stuff in there. The game on hardest level is very hard! Hehe, I've only beat it a few times myself on 'guru' level.

Did you mean more backgrounds or to replace the existing ones there? Cos I've got a different for each level atm. Actually I stole the backgrounds off an old Commodore 64 game but shhh...

iw ould say well done, all in all a pretty good and interesting game with soem creative new features.

I meant that u better totalyl replace the backgrounds. Thats just my opinion tho cuz i dont like the ones u use now, sry

Awww they're not that bad are they.

Heh, it's kind of hard to come up with new ones - I can't do a whole big jpg or anything because it slows the game down too much, the backgrounds there are 30 x 25 pixels just repeated - I actually tried making my own but they were really terrible, much worse than what I've got atm, lol.

they arent such horrible but what about a background in one color or maybe u can cut a lil part out of a background u find somewhere, if not, its still a good game

Yeah I'm having a bit of a look around the net to see if I can find a background now... I wasn't a huge fan of the ones I've got either - but I originally had them as just a plain colour, and they looked kinda boring actually.

The problem is I don't know what I'm looking for! lol, just anything that fits in well with the levels basically and gives a bit of variety, also it can't be too 'bold' because it makes it hard to see the numbers.

I didn't even think to look on the net before *hits head* - thanks for the tip there - I've found a few seemingly good sites already and will have a proper look over the weekend.
