I got an email from Mary Kate Olsen, or at least it was the company, to tell that i've won something

What my questions are : How did they know my email? How did they know that i'm puertorican?

If you ever give out your e-mail address together with your name/address/and other data (on any site, contest or whatsoever) you're 'fucked'. They register your personal data and send it to one another, so within a few weeks every site/company/... can access your address when interested.

It's an infecting system.
