 Verdict: Gulity as Charged! | |
Ok so I'm in a wierd mood at the moment so I just wanna post this.
Last April, a guy started follwing me along these secluded, isolated lanes and lakes, in kind of wooded areas. He would do it when not many people were around.... the first time I was walking with my sister. He was riding a bike, and he pretended to have something wrong with it everytime he got too far away, so he'd get off his bike, 'pretend' to fix it, wait till we'd walk past him and he'd carry on behind us then. Well he followed us for about an hour, as we were walking up to my nans house. We got to my nans and he still follwed us, and even as we went into my nans, he circled the area for ages as if waiting for us to come out. Anway we didnt mention it...I didnt care to think anything of it....
The next time, it was May. I was babysitting my cousin Kyle for the day. Anyway it was hot outside, so we decided to go for a walk to my nans for a bit and maybe play on the park up there. So we walked... andyway on the way back after about 10 minutues i noticed he was there again, right behind me. Staring. He rode past me and my cousin and I told my little cousin to just not look at him and ignore him. He was a bit scared as he gripped my hand so tight. I was now scared too as the look in his eyes and the way he was circling us was horrible. He followed us the entire way home that day. I didnt want to cause a fuss so i didnt tell anybody but my sister. Anyway....
The follwing month, June...I had to walk to my nans after school becuase she needed me to do something for her. So I set off from school at 3.15pm. As I was walking the lanes, i kepty checking behind me to see if anybody was there. The first time I checked - nope, nothing. The second time, nope! The third time - he was there. Now i had been walking so so fast - and for him to have caught up like that, walking that is - he must have seen me and walked as fast as he could. Anyway my heart raced so I picked up the pace, but so did he. I kept checking behind me, and no matter how fast I was walking he kept getting closer! I got my mobile phone out and texted my mate, Tom and told him about the guy and that i was scared. As i was texting him, this guy was right by my side and as he walked past he gave me the most evil looking stare. When i turned again he was standing 10 yeards from me, and he had his penis out and his face was horrible! I was so scared, becuase it was a secluded lane with nobody around and I really thought he was going to hurt me. I just ran at that point and i noticed there were a groups of kids and their parents up ahead so I slowed down thinking he wouldnt be behind me if they were around. He wasnt. My god the relief! Anyway I got to my nans and told her the whole thing! She rang my mum from work (i was 16 at the time) and she came home to see me. She started crying even though I told her he didnt hurt me! We rang the police and went down there to give a statement and an interview, etc. We were there for hours! Apparently, they had been looking for this guy for a long time, as he was already reported by 6 other women and girls. His description was in the paper and so on. Anyway, I identified him and such, and he was arrssted and charged. The court case was pushed back to only the Wednesday just gone! I went and gave my evidence and so on.... and was shaking the whole time becuase he was in the room with me! I left feeling glad i had done it though.
I just got a call from my mother... he was found Guilty of all 7 charges today! His sentencing is on Monday.
Though i'm happy with the verdict, I still have to see him everday, and altho he hasnt spoken tome or made contact with me since I reported him, (as he had been ordered not to come near me) he still gives me that same look. And now when I next see him, what will he think? He'll hate me and in a way I'm still scared, if not more than before beacuse he was found guilty!
