I don't eat any sort of red meat, however I do eat seafood and poultry...*ta da* semi-vegetarian!

It's not like I'm totally against people eating cows, I just don't do it because I hate red meat! It's not my thing!

There are MANY types of vegetarians... I wanna say at least 4 or 5. I had tried for a while to be vegetarian but it wasn't working out for me. Even though, now on the new diet i'm on, i can be considered vegetarian because i haven't been eating meat...

Do some research online. There are different types of vegetarians like vegans, lacto ovo vegetarians, lacto vegetarians, ovo vegetarians, etc. I'd say do some searching online under "vegetarian" and you'll find lots of info.

Lacto-Ovo Vegetarian.

Does not eat any kind of flesh. No fish, no crabs, no chicken no caviar etc. Not even cod liver oil! Generally prefers to keep these creatures alive than kill them. But a lacto ovo vegetarian can eat other animal products that do not cause aimals to die in the process of creating them like milk, cheese and eggs.

Pesce Vegetarian.

Just like lacto-ovo but allow the eating of fish on the basis that fish do not feel pain like other animals because their nerve endings are not very 'fine tuned'. (contributed by nora wafaai)

Lacto Vegetarian.

Same as lacto-ovo above but does not eat eggs.

Ovo Vegetarian.

Eats eggs but no dairy products and milk.

Vegan.

No eggs, no dairy products. Generally believe that the suffering that animals in modern and not so modern animal farms cause suffering and that we should not enjoy that in any way.

Fruitarian-Vagan.

I only know of one religion ( Jainism ) that does not only forbid the eating of animals but also of vegetables that have to be killed in order to eat them. So fruits are ok but mushrooms are not.

I've been a vegetarian since I was 7. I eat hot dogs and occasionally I'll have other kinds of meat.

Okay! Thanks a bunch, you really didn't need to do that... But I am glad you did! I guess i will be a Lacto Ovo Vegetarion. I will start in the small, and just start to eat less meat and more vegtables and such...

There is just one problem, my mum and dad doesn't want me to be one... They don't want to make speciel food for me.
But I will find out SO much information and tell them about food and such so they don't have to do anything!
