I could be a vegetarian if I wanted to, ....but I'm not

Although, I do prefer fruits and vegetables to meat, I also eat meat as well.

*nods seriously* iron is important (?)

I could NEVER be a vegetarian. I was raised on good ol' southern deep-fried foods. Chicken was like a food group for me growin' up so...yeah, no vegetarianism for me.

I am not a vegaterian.

First off, everyone is always saying that we should save the animals. But it's not like the animals are going to become very famous movie stars or singers. Actully, all cows and such ever do is provide us with milk and meat. It's thier purpose, and what are they going to do all of thier lives? Nothing. And it's very rare that cows have a big role in a movie. Usally, all they ever do is play as extras.

Second, it's not healthy to live without meat. I know some of you guys think that beans is another way of eating protine and it's true that they are an excellent source of protine, but meat has tons of fibers and vitamins you can't get anywhere else. And this has been prooven many and various times before.

Third, alot of people are afraid of catching diseases from meat. Well, to get rid of worms or seminella and such, just cook your meat all the way if you want to get sick. Usally, diseases in meat is only from raw meat. Eggs also has diseases and seminella, so if your afraid of these diseases, maybe you should think twice about eating eggs.

That's my opinion. I love animals, and I don't like the thought of some of them getting killed. But I love meat, and that's that.

Ummm.... I don't think vegetarians usually want to "save the animals" because they're going to become the next big thang in Hollywood.

More often than not, it's the whole "Animals are creatures that God created, and they deserve life as much as humans do."

I think that the only proper reason for killing an animal is indeed for food. They DO have a lot of stuff (vitamins, etc) that are essential in our diets.

Usually, i don't eat much meat, but it's not because i want to save an animal. Don't get me wrong, i love animals, too. I'm just don't eat meat that much.

Lightbulb

I gave up all red meat and pork about seven and a half years ago on a whim (and I've had absolutely no regrets since)...I've never liked seafood...so that only leaves chicken and turkey (both of which I love)...

I also avoid all Hostess products because they use beef fat...and I don't eat Jello or marshmellows...If I'm not mistaken...gelatin is derived from a pig's connective tissue...

...basically I try and buy only kosher food products...although there's always a few exceptions...

I definitely don't consider myself a vegetarian...but I honestly cannot eat chicken or turkey off the bone...if it reminds me of any part of a bird, I just can't stomach it...if that makes any sense at all???
