I say it is fixed and this is what i think
They take the votes and see where each video lands. Then they look at who has done what for MTV as of late and move them around a little. Then the next day the same person may be at number one or they may put the other person (usually britney!) at number one to get fans to vote. Not to mention, it does not hurt to pay them to play your video, then ur number one on trl!

plus, when do people vote?
whe it was on at 4PM everyone was at school
now it's on at 1PM, and people sleep in
not a lot of people vote, so they switch the videos around a bit to stir up 'battles' [nsync vs. o-town] [Britney vs. any female] | |

You know what? I really don't care either way. I watch it just to check out the latest songs or see what videos are out, or to hear news on whatever artists, or to occasionally see someone come on the show or something. You act like whether or not you're number 1 will MAKE or BREAK your career! Geez! It's just a freakin' teen show on MTV! | |

Well most people know what they like, and I for one, am not influenced by what i see. I like what i like, and that's that. If you're easily influenced just because they "put" someone on, then that may be a problem... | |

well, most people when they see a video at number one will find it odd if they do not like it. I do not, but it is like they are telling us, "Oh, right now this will be popular," Just like the radio does and i think it sucks. Back in the day when bye Bye Bye was number one for like 30 days, it was not fixed. Now they are saying "Will <SO in SO> Beat Nsyncs record??? We Will find out tommorow" To make people watch. | |

Ya know, it's hard to say. But I think that I pretty much agree with you, WhatItsLike2bme. It's strange how whenever Britney is on there it's a "battle" when in reality, I doubt it would be against a lot of people. This is a fact: Britney has a larger fan base than most of the people she's "battling" for #1. Granted, someone like Eminem has a large one too, but sometimes, I just think they put someone else at #1 so people don't get sick of the show. I don't even watch that lame show, but I do still vote. Even if it's fixed, I want to know that I tried. lol | |
