I went to the mall today back to school shopping, and EVERYTHING IS SO DAMN EXPENSIVE

yeah...in usa things are expensive (i think you live there) but in venezuela, things are imported from usa...so we have to pay "that" plus the shipping and taxes

- Socks!! Damn! 4 socks (2 pairs) for $9! WTF?
- Face wash: $6 for cream with smashed up walnut shells in it!
- Medical assistance: $40 so an ambulance can come to your house and give you bottled air through a plastic mask.
- Internet access: $43 a month.
- Pure breed dogs: $300 with papers.
- Ankle brace: $15 for some material with metal rods in the sides.
- Gas: 72.6 cents for a litre.
- Car battery: $100.
- Framed picture: $40 for a 'professional' 8x10 sports picture glued onto a piece of "marble".
- Flowers: $7 for 4 red roses. WTF? I'll walk down the frigging street and pick some from a garden myself.
- Pencils: $3 for four unsharpened pieces of wood with "lead" shoved down the middle.
- Year book: $40 for glossy paper with pictures and text in it.

I can give a list ofcourse, but everything is expensive. I want it for free!

Well, that´s not possible ofcourse, but some things should be less expenisve..for example music and movie stuff.

Wow, i'm definately feeling this thread. And i feel bad for ya'll in highschool... But college is definately MORE expensive.

*$12,000 for 1 year in college.
*Over $100 for just ONE book. Sometimes MORE than one book is necessary for ONE class. I'm taking 6 classes.
*Clothes, definately. I bought 2 shirts, and 2 pairs of pant. Regular stuff, nothing fancy or nice. $50.
*Gas, OMG! It's now $1.53 for ONE gallon of gas. I've got a bigger tank in my car, and i can't even fill it up for $20.

*At school, just for a 20oz. bottle of soda, $1.25. I'm sorry, but college students can't afford that much just for ONE little bottle of soda.

Let's just face it... EVERY thing is too expensive.
