I have really bad strep, and it keeps coming back along with many sore throughts. The problem is that it's coming from my tonsils, so now my doctor says that I half to get them removed. I'm really scared! Has anyone gotten them removed, and if so, does it hurt?! Please be honest.

If it keeps coming back, it would be in your best interest to have them removed.

I've never had mine removed, but my friend did a year or 2 ago. She said it wasn't bad at all.

You cant really say if its gonna hurt or not cuz every people thinks diffrent about what hurts and what doesnt. But Its better to take them out if you keep having problems with it. maybe it hurts for a while, but it will go away and then you will never have problems again!

I had to remove mine........ LOL It doesn't hurt!

A little shot and you'll sleep like a lil' baby! Later.... well, I was 6 years old when they removed mine..... I think some blood came, but it was OK later. Don't worry!

I'm glad that you say it dosen't hurt. My mom got hers out, and she said that her throat kept bleeding, but they fixed the problem right away.

I'm kind of excited to get them out now so I don't get sick anymore.
