Separating your online identity from your real world one? - Eternal Allegiance

How do you guys feel about people knowing from the real world what sites you run, or what's your username, etc.? I don't know, but it just irks me. Like, I run 2 sites (well I'm trying to get them up at least) and some people I know from TRW know about them and I regret telling them.

On the other hand, I have a web design company I'm gonna be putting up on the web in a few weeks and people need to know about that anyway, and they have to see my other sites for examples. But...I just don't want people knowing that, for example, this is who I am on the board.

It's hard to explain...but, does anyone relate to my rambling?

Don't really care about people from either site knowing about

I don't really tell people at school where I post or my SNs etc., but if they found out then big deal, I don't care about them anyway.

Last year (when I was a first semester's student) I did receive
some 'smart ass' comments for hanging around here and pos-
ting (in the middle of the classes as well... ahem

), but I did
not really give a damn about it... at least I carried on doing so.

It's an exception this semester (3rd) though, where I keep
forums going to the breaks - or until I get home from school.
Maybe 'cause of me taking my studies more seriously or are
more committed to them... I dunno... but people still do know
I hang around here...

I wouldn't care at all. My friends don't have AIM or anything, and they actually hardly ever internet. So it just never came up. Though once I told a friend I was thinking on getting dids engraved in this silver bracelet I got and she was just like "cool".

I just don't tell anybody anything about my life unless I know them and I know I can trust them. Only few people know how I am. Anyway, there's people that I know that actually know I post here and I'm around all the time that call me a loser and a bunch more. Do I care?. Not a bit.

I don't think i have separate lives... I mean, my internet life and my real life is the SAME thing. No need to hide anything from anyone. I'm as real as it gets, there's no pretending or hiding anything from anyone.
