What are your thoughts about it?

I think that while it wrong, some of the feelings people have are completly normal. I do not agree with the hate crimes against people from Afganistan, but i could see how people could look at someone and just think about the fact that they *could* be a terrorist. I think it is sad that people have to deal with that, but there is no way around it.

What are your thoughts about it?

I don't personally categorize people by anything, but it's sad and pathetic that some people could be and are narrow minded enough to think anyone with a certain characteristic IS a certain something. That's like age profiling, or stereotyping, oh wait, it is. *looks around* *ahem* I'm going back to Ireland.

I know what you mean, what i ment by what i said was that people are going to have that thought in the back of there mind no matter what, well most people at least. Weather they agree with it or not is a totally diffrent question.

i believe racial profiling is a must in the airports and at the borders because it isnt blonde hair blue eyed ppl that are attacking us. i mean it is crazy that an airport person thought stevie wonder was a threat to us they pulled him aside and searched him.

I was saying that since 9/11 people look at people who come from Afghanistan and cannot help but think that they might be terrorists, like a sterotype.

Ooooh ok! Thanks for clearing that up, but actually i havent really thought of anything like that. However if a guy who looked like Binlarden or whatever he's called walked past me then i'd probably kick his ass!

I feel the same way about it! But after the attacks people just started thinking of that stuff. I mean who wouldn't. I don't consider that racism at all.

Well...Im from Lebanon and i talk arabic. Since the 9/11th ive felt som dirrty lookin. And that just annoys me!!
Just because im from lebanon which by the way is a christian arabic country doesnt mean all arabic countries are terrorist countries!! It's just the fuckin terrorists in Afghanistan!!
Why do people think ALL people who comes from the middle east are like that? It just pisses me off! :ugh:
