Please help me: What is "Gator" program?? - Eternal Allegiance

My PC is full and i want to delete some programs but i found this:
GATOR
I dont know if i can delete this because it seems to be something for internet so please if someone knows WTH is this program please tell me and tell me if i can delete it.

Yeah I somehow got that installed on my PC too but recently deleted it and have had no problems.

I'm not sure what it is - I think it remembers your passwords automatically or something along those lines - anyway yeah it's fine to delete it.

OMG gator is SpYWARE Heaven!!! delete it right away if it downloads, pop up adds download things on your computer w/o asking and it is a pain in the ass!!!

I recomend doing 2 things...

1) Download "Pop-up Stopper Pro" Off kazaa (u can get it for free there

)

It is the best pop up stopper out there and it really kills almost all of them!

2) Goto www.Download.com and download something called "ad-aware"... It will find ALL spyware on your computer and remove it for you!

One more thing, If u have Kazaa GET RID OF IT!!!! Go to www.kazaalite.com and download that! it is the same exact thing as kazaa minus the spyware and crap! Hope this helps ya!

I hate this Gator piece of crap. It always sneaks its way into my HD and pops up about once every two weeks, slowing up my CPU and telling me it has found an ad or some BS. Annihilate it upon sight.

What i would do:
1)download and run ad-aware
http://www.lavasoft.nu/
2)Disable or Prompt Active Scripting and Java in your browser. Many of these things get into your computer this way. You may have to enable java for some things ,but for the most part you won't notice much of a difference with it turned off. Depending on your browser, there is also a function to add trusted sites. Pop-up stoppers are unnecessary. Turning off java in your browser kills all pop-ups.
