I LOVED the virsion called "Phantom" better, i think, then the one called "Phantom of the Opera". There are two different visions of the play! I am now TOTALLY obsessed with finding out where the idea for the play came from like some book from the early 1800s. It is such a sad story. I can't help feeling bad for Erick even though he killed alot of people. Poor thing

The ending of "Phantom" made me cry! And I can't believe that Christine went with the Count after he died! But they are pretty much the same story but just with different details alittle bit. Living under the depths of the Paris Opera House forever, determined to die wearing a mask. When she shows him her true love to him before he dies but then stands up and walks off with the Count! Cause he is pretty

Unlike poor Erick! I love those plays! And don't let poor Erick go Hollywood! He wants to live peacfully carrying around enchanting song and laughs

You can rent the movie by Andrew Loyd Webber that went on broadway for a while at a movie rental place, but that one is called "The Phantom of the Opera" which I think is not as good as "Phantom" which only is done as a play. They are the same story pretty much, though. "Phantom" is about a rumor of a ghost who wears a mask and lives under the opera house in Paris where a chamber used to be. All his life he has waited for the most beautiful voice to come to the opera house when one day it does. A girl from the streets has the most beautiful voice. But deep inside the Phantom there is one side of good and one side of evil. He wears a mask because of his face, no one can stand to see it. His mother died and she loved him, everything about him, she thought he was flawlessly beautiful. But if anyone else sees his face, they will really know him. A new manager has taken over the opera house and Erick REALLY doesn't like her, that is when his evil side dominates. Determined to die in darkness, he experiences love only at the end sad forever. Cast away by everyone else. I will leave the rest to you. It was my favorite play next to "Fiddler On the Roof"
