wohooo

My mouse is doing fine again!

I forgot that i got a new mouse and i found the box with the disk and the users manual. lol im so stupid

Im still working on the 'programs' problem.

ow and BMB: the guy from the computer store also said that with the ctr/alt/delet and then remove those programs. problem is that with most of the programs my computer stops and doesnt do anything....

I know, that's why it's best to first get to know the meaning and function of every program that is running, before closing it

A note about your second problem about the programs running in the background:

Go to Start > Run... > and type in "msconfig" and Enter. Click on the Startup tab and those programs with checks next to them are the ones that are starting up down by the clock. You can uncheck all of them or only some.

well...about the mouse...you could get a new one..those ones that doesn't use the balls...and go to start, setting, control panel, and you'll see something that says add/remove program...click on that and click on whatever you want to uninstall

thanks everybody again for replying! The second problem is over now too... thanks to Midnightman! I didnt know you had that on your computer, you can just click on the program you dont want there and then its gone!

Yeah, those programs aren't gone, just not running anymore. Be careful though -- since sometimes if you take the program off of the startup list and then run it again it may put itself back on the startup list...sneaky bastards they are.
