And yes, you can convert it to MPEG with Virtual Dub but it takes hours.

VitualDub only opens them but not make them. You could use TMPGEnc for MPEG files

Sometimes the codecs used aren't the latest. I know that alot of things i download are encoded in 3.11a Divx which is different from all the other Divxes. There is a program called Gspot that tells you what codec you need. You can get it here. I've never used it so i don't know how well it works, but it is worth a shot. If all else fails you can go here for different multi-codec packs if you don't want to download a program.

If you want a VCD, then you might want to checkthis out. And you might find this forum to be of some use.
Good Luck

Yeah... 5.0.4 and 5.0.5 were released quite soon after eachother... wasn't too sure of it myself when I saw 5.0.5 on a bittorrent site... but was good enough .

I got the videos to work. But will they work still once I burn them to a CD-R? Like when I want to watch the videos? Or what? The videos are from NBC television programs. The Last with Carson Daly and the Conan O'Brien show. Don't know if that has any effect on'em, so I'm giving you guys all the details.

The DivX program worked for on my computer but will the videos be 'locked' again once on the CD-R? Or what?

Any suggestions?

Thanks again to all who have posted.

Once/If you've got the codec(s) installed, the media shouldn't/doesn't matter.
