| A Vatican sermon has made a veiled criticism of Mel Gibson's controversial film The Passion of the Christ.
Father Raniero Cantalamessa said if the film spread the belief that all Jews were responsible for Christ's death, it should be criticised.
But he said in a Lent sermon that "if it restricts itself to showing an influential group of Jews" were to blame, it could not be criticised.
The film has been accused by critics of being anti-Semitic.
Father Cantalamessa said: "The Jewish people, as such, are not responsible for the death of Christ.
"The Passion is a film to be criticised if it seeks to advance the belief that all Jews at the time and in succeeding generations are responsible for the death of Christ."
But "the film cannot be accused of betraying the real story if it restricts itself to showing an influential group of Jews at the time playing a determining role" in the death of Jesus Christ, he said.
It opens in Italy on 7 April, during Holy Week. |

| I have NEVER cried so hard in a movie before.
I couldn't stand what He had to go through. The tears were uncontrollable, and my sister was looking at me with a WTF?!! expression.
There was so much hate buildnig up inside of me, but I realized that you can't hold an entire civilization responsible for 10 people's wrongdoing.
Anyway, GREAT movie. I came out a different person.
I will PAY people to go see this movie. Actually, I took my friend with me the next day. I saw EuroTrip. LMMFAO. That is all. <3

What I thought was cool was near the end they had the devil walking on one side and Mary on the other. Good vs. Evil. | YES!!! That's exactly what I thought! My sister has never read a word from the Bible, so she was just like, "WTF?!!"
You have to have knowledge of the Bible to fully understand this movie, because if you don't, then you'll just think it's a waste of your time.

God does not see those that are filthy and washed in sin. Jesus, is the only way, to be washed from that sin. To ask Him into your heart is how you are saved. That is the only way I know salvation to occur. I want to know the side of the story from your point of view, Adeel. According to your religion. | OMG that was wrong. WRONG!
THIS is the reason why some people don't go to Church.
PS. Actually, Jesus looked pretty much only at those that were "filthy with sin."

| I think I'll skip Mel Gibson can go to hell with that movie. It really doesn't interest me, probably because I'm not christian, but however, I heard a little about it and it doesn't sound that great. They try to make jewish people look bad or something, so yeah, I am not going to support that and waste my money on it. Next. |
