| What was Sept. 11th like for you? | | This is from another thread I posted in, but this is what happened that day.
Last year on Sept.11th, I wa sin 10th grade.
I was walking to shcool with my friend, and I was like somehtings gonna happen, she was liek what? I wa slike, Im serious I have this weird feeling that something major is going to happen to the world. She was like yeah riiight. Well I have predicted things before and they have happened. When I was saying this it was about 8:30 am. So, I sat in school. Approx. 10:45 am. The principal came on the annoucements saying"Due to the hijackings in the U.S, we will stay on regular school hours, until furthur notice, we will evacuate the school, if needed"
I was liek OMG! Then lunch came my friend was like Oh my flippin god, you were right! For about two weeks, they had a TV in a room tuned into CNN so everybody could see what was happening and what was going on. If i get the same feeling this wednesday, I will sure notify you all.
Thanks.
EDIT: I also live in Canada. |

| Before September 11th I always thought of war a something that happened in faraway countries and never thought about it affecting me, little did I know that on the morning of the 11th that nothing would ever be the same again. From the moment I turned on the T.V and heard that at 8:45 am American flight 11 crashed into the north tower of The World Trade Center and that eighteen minutes later United Airlines flight 175 crashed into the north tower, I watched the news in horror as the buildings I have seen countless times on television and movies collapsed and downtown Manhattan was turned into a war zone!that day changend my life and this year I went to NY and looked down at were the WTC was and just cryed for all the people who died that day |

Now that a year has gone by, it seems as if people have gotten over it and totally forgot about it. For me, I couldn't get over something like that. As I'm sitting here, I keep visioning that second tower crumbling to the ground over and over again. | |

| i was getting to my 2nd class and i was walking up the stairs when this guy is telling everyone the pentagon and one of the twin towers is down and everybody was laughin and saying right man. then we got to class and the teacher was in tears that whole day everybody was shocked and stunned we couldnt go anywhere to eat but our cafetria and everybody left as soon as school left no organizations could stay everybody was scared. that night all i saw was two beautiful buildings on fire and coming to a crashing end. i saw one of the strongest government buildings on fire with a black hole filling one of the sides. then i saw an image of a plane thrown into a field and i was just thinking how could any of this happen? i then prayed and asked our Lord for guidance and strength. i was scared to go to school everything seemed differently for that day i didnt even listen to music or anything i just slept and i watched CNN when i could. i remember all of this like it happened yesterday. sad very sad i wish i could have done something to save all of those people |

| It was a normal Tuesday, until 3pm. I was home early from school and at 3pm I heard it on the radio. First, I didn´t believe it really. But I decided to put the television on and there they were. The Twin Towers on fire....terrible. That normal Wednesday turned into a day the world would never forget.

| Hmm... *tries to think back* - I think I had just got home from
school, was watching MTV I think, when one of the peeps in
the house came down, saying the WTC and Pentagon had
been attacked - so I switched to CNN to follow the coverage
of it there. |

| Bit different to most people because of the time difference - I was watching the late night news about 10:30pm-11:00pm and was watching the news when there came the news that a plane hit one of the WTC towers and I thought wtf? How could that happen accidentally? Then I saw the rest of it unfold throughout the night... stayed up til about 3am that morning and watched it on tv most of the next day as I didn't have uni. |

| I remember it like it was yesterday. I was visiting one of my neighbours, and he said 'hey a plane hit the World Trade Centre'. I just said 'what?'. So he pointed at his TV which he had set to CNN, where one of the towers was smoking. I couldn't believe my eyes. And then while we were staring at the TV the other one flew in. It was the most confusing moment of my life right there. 'Two planes into the same building? What the hell is going on?' That was my first reaction afterwards. I went home and followed the whole thing as much as I could.
I also went to search for answers of course. I remember reading a topic about it posted by midnightman a few days after. That's where it sunk in that this was going to make the foundation of the entire civilization tremble like hell. |

| A normal day, I was enjoying my last days of vacation ... Suddenly I heard something weird on the radio and I turned on the tv at once and the first image I saw, were two towers in flames ... I was shocked, couldn't believe my eyes, wanted to know what happened ...
I can't believe it's already a year ago |
