Default There are certain times.....

in our lives when something happens and we will all be able to remember where we were and what we were doing when it happened.
On september 11th me and Tai'isha were on our way to manhatten, when the first plane hit we were in a cab just approaching Manhatten from the Brooklyn Bridge. By the time the second one hit we were in manhatten trying to find our friends who we had arranged to meet there at 9am to see if they were ok, of course we never found them and it still hurts today.

Do you remember where you were or what you were doing on the 11th?

I was sleepin, and someone conked me on the head and said "A plane crashed into the world trade center". My first thought was 'what in hell is the world trade center?' and the rest of the day I was glued to the TV. Now I'm addicted to all the programs on FoxNews, dammit.

Yes I do.

I was lying in bed watching the new on a local TV station when there was breaking news that a plane had hit the WTC. At the time they didn't what kind of plane hit. I was thinking a GA (general aviation) aircraft hit the building by mistake. A few minutes I was proven wrong when another craft hit the other building. I was in shock! At that time I knew the U.S. was under attack by terrorists. Who? I didn't know, but I kinda thought that Usama (correct spelling) had something to do with it.

Living in Oklahoma City I was affected obviously by the Oklahoma City bombing. It was so weird. I was in the third grade, in speech class, because I had a speech impediment, and it was just a loud boom. And, then all of a sudden, we were all over the world news, and we had never been much of a conversation piece. And, it was really weird. My mom knew people who lost family and friends.

When this happened, I didn't go into school, cos I had to get my glasses fixed. Before I left to go get my glasses fixed, I heard about the towers being hit. My mom called and we talked about it, my father was rushing me out the door. I was able to catch the 2nd tower fall, and it was...humbling and like Kat said, Sobering.

Then on the way to school after my glasses getting fixed, I heard about the Pentagon and the Pennslyvania incident. I felt...detached from the world as all this happened. We talked about it all that day, and I'll never forget that day just like I'll never forget about the bombing.

i remember waking up to our new puppy whining outside my door. so i got up and let her and my other dog outside and i went to the kicthen table and sat down and started to read the sports page and about 5 minutes later my mom called and said turn on the tv, so i turned the tv on that was sitting on the sewing table next to the table. I dont totally remember want my mom said to me or what i said to her it was a short phone call though. i remember sitting there at the table watching it and not feeling anything you could say i was shocked but it didnt feel like it. Me being so patriotic my first thought was who did it and lets kill them, i was angry i felt like it was an attack on my family and i still feel that same anger sometimes now. i didnt shed a tear over the attack until i heard the song in my sing for the first time. i finally felt the saddness but also it tells how i feel about the attacks.

On september 11, i was going to the beach after the lunch. A friend of mine called me saying that one twin tower was on fire, i thought it was an accident but then i saw the second tower beeing reach by other airplane, first i thought thta the tv was repeting the scene. When i realized that the secong tower was reached too, at that moment i knew that was an attack. In one minute, one of my biggest dreams dissapear ( i was looking forward, since June, to go to USA on November).I was shocked, i couldn't believe what happened, i still don't!For some days i thought it would be the third global war!
September 11 was horrible, i cried a lot and i still crying when i see some things about it! :'(
Those attacks weren't only to USA, they were for the developed world!
I can't believe that exists people so cruel like Bin laden.
Since that day, i don't feel safe, i have always afraid of new attacks and i live in Portugal (no one, would to a attack here if he would want impact ) so i can't imagine how USA people feel!

But we can't forget that every day, thousands people die of war, starvation or illness, inocent people like those who died on September 11. we need to help those people because day after day increases the ditch between the developed world and the other world and it doesn't help much for peace of the world!

to sum up i think the september 11 was the day that changed the world

God bless the world!

Default Where were you on 9/11? And how did this change your life?

Well I remember I was in MR. Arthurs, Computer Applications class, when he saw on CNN.com the first tower had been hit and then he turned on the TV and we saw the second tower get hit. My class and I were shocked at what had happened and we just we all feeling so upset for the people in the planes, towers, and the people that knew anyone that had died in 9/11.
These events have changed me in a way that I look at life differently. I am just a different person in a way I think.
