#13 | | | I just came home from work when a friend called to say that i have to put the tv on. so i did and the first tower was hit. The people on the news didnt know exactly what was going on but i remember they said that it might be an attack and that there was a plane coming to the wtc and that the americans wanted to shoot it down. and then later i saw the second plane hit the other building.. i was watching with my mom and my mom was like: ok this is real war! I remember I said to her that if that guy was behind it (he doent deserve to be called) that I really wanted america to get him.... (I still agree with my opinion then) | |

| I came home from school. I opened my computer and went to a news-site where I always go. There was an article (main story) "Pentagon's on fire". I was like "Whatta?" I opened the page and there was no article. For a minute I thought it was just joke. Then I head it on my granny's radio. I wanted to cry (even though I don't live in the States). I went and told it to my sis and we tried to watch TV (we had just moved and we only had a stupid antenna that didn't show good picture). I was shocked when I saw the whole thing. |

| I was sleeping until someone woke me up. I have no feelings or emotions towards this. I feel nothing. |

| I remember the day exactly. I live in CT, which is about 20 minutes from NY, and less than an hour away from the WTC. I was at the dorms, sleeping in because i didn't have early class. My cell phone woke me up with my boyfriend telling me to turn on the tv. From that moment, everything went so fast. I made a few phone calls, and then found out school was closed for the rest of the day. The campus went NUTS. It got really empty. People were really quiet. Every door on my floor was open, and all you heard was the echo of endless tv's. We all awaited the President's Speech on tv... we all sat around in shock. A lot of the girls that live in my dorm has parents that worked in the building, so it was a scary day for all of us. |

| my memory is a little foggy, because there was so much going on, but this is how i remember my day..
i had woken up that morning around 6-6:15am (pacific) and went downstairs to turn on the news like usual. i turned on ABC and they were showing live feed from the school President Bush was speaking at. i don't remember exactly exactly how long the camera was on him, as the next thing i remember is seeing a shot of the two towers with smoke coming out of them. i don't remember if i saw the second plane hit on live TV or not...i had tuned in either right before it happened or right after (i was too tired to fully comprehend what was going on, so my memory is a little rusty). my mom came downstairs and we sat watching the TV for the rest of the day, stunned.
hearing all the breaking developments as they happened, as well as seeing the towers fall on live TV, was the single most amazing and horrifying experience i've ever had.
i watched CNN and read newspapers nonstop for days.
it was absolutely crazy. i can't believe i witnessed most of that happening on live TV. it took me a few months to snap out of the post-WTC collapse daze, but i'm still somewhat in a state of shock. |
