Default New spoiler about the next Harry Potter book

Another 'Harry Potter' Character to Die

LONDON - "Harry Potter (news - web sites)" author J.K. Rowling (news - web sites) said Friday that one of her characters will not survive the next book in her series about the young wizard.

Asked on her official Web site whether she planned to kill off any more characters, Rowling replied, "Yes, sorry." But she refused to identify that character.

The sixth book in the series, "Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince," is due to be published next year.

Potter himself is safe, at least for now. Rowling has previously said her teenage hero will survive until the seventh and final book in the series, but has refused to say whether he will reach adulthood.

"You have to wait and see whether he survives to be a grown-up," Rowling said in August.

The 39-year-old author keeps the plots of her novels tightly under wraps, teasing fans with morsels of information.

Before the publication of her last installment, "Harry Potter and The Order Of The Phoenix," she said a major character would die. Readers had to wait until the book appeared last year to discover the victim was Harry's mentor, Sirius Black.

So who do you think will die?
Dumbledore? Hagrid? Hermoine?

If Dumbledore dies, then Harry loses his protector...

Rowling said she likes Snape on her website, so i'm hoping it isn't Snape! I hate this woman, just when i start to relax she does this to me again!

I think it will be....

Dumbledore. It makes more sense for in Book seven for Harry to have to be alone and stand on his own two feet without him.

Who do I want it to be? Malfoy.

If its Hermoine or Ron I will die. Or Snape. I actually like him. I still am mad at her for killing of Sirius.

Just a question, but, why in the hell is this series so freaking popular? Same with the Lord of the Rings stuff. I don't get the hooplah over it.

^ I just think the books are great. I love her stories and the way she writes. I don't care for the movies, and all the other 46059436054276635478658 Harry Potter things you can find nowadays. I just REALLY enjoy the books.

I don't know who it's going to be. *shrugs* But no matter what, my brother is NOT going to read the book before me, because last year he told me who dies before I got to read the book. And that after being so nice and letting him read it before me. So yeah, I'll get the book, read it and tell him. Because revenge is OH SO SWEET. *evil laugh*

Well, they do say that the books are always better than the movies.

*protects Malfoy* Don't touch him! He's on of my favs...him and Snape

Anywho, like Jess said, I think it would make the most sense to kill off Dumbledore so Harry will have to go-it alone, ya know?

I can't wait for the 4th movie, but I have a feeling I'm going to be let down. Especially since the 4th book was far and away my favorite book and there's soooooo much information in it, they can't possibly fit even HALF of what they need to into a movie unless the movie would be like...6 hours long. Which is fine with me, I'd still sit through it

Oh wow, are you for real?? Those are such great movies, classics in my opinion, you should try to watch them again, bythe end of the first one you'll be sucked in , and the third one is SO good, I cried so much...

Ashleigh-Those books are GOOD! I was so anti-Potter just ..because I thought it sounded stupid. I was like "Eww who is this dorky kid whos a wizard thats so lame!" then I got bored and read the first book and I got hooked. I've read them all now and they are..just...like a drug. She has a good writing style...

Lord Of the Rings..I have the books but I made it only half way through the second one. They didnt' hold my concentration at all. The movies are grand though.
