I wasnt sure where to put this so feel free to move this if its in the incorrect place! I am so proud of Miss Ireland who now is Miss World, our first ever win in this competion!

Miss Ireland has been crowned Miss World 2003 winning out over the host country's Miss China, who took third place and Miss Canada, who took second.

Rosanna Davison, 19, a student from Dublin and daughter of singer Chris De Burgh, was favourite to win after being named Miss World Beach Beauty.

Asked to sum herself up in 30 seconds, Davison said: "I would like to describe myself as a fun-loving yet humble person and hopefully a great ambassador for my country and for women all around the world."
