| The Living End - "Roll On" | | Anybody heard of these guys?
I saw their video on MTV2 yesterday, and thought they were pretty cool. The lead singer has pink hair, almost like Benji from GC. But GC is waaaaaay better. Anyhow, I was wondering if anyone else has heard of them and any info, if you have any.
Chewie - Is this the band that you were talking about, ages ago? |

| I asked Chewie about them after I saw them open for Green Day on June 20, 2001. Yeah, "Roll On" is a kick ass song! But it's from a hella long time ago. We'll roll on with our heads held high,
Our conscience in the gutter
Our heads up in the sky... |

| Yep, they are the ones. They rock, huh?
Melbourne band - released their first single in Oz in 1997 if I remember correctly and their first album (self-titled) went double platinum here.
"Roll on" kicks ass - that's gonna be in my head now. Here's some of their other singles of theirs (mostly from their first album - brilliant stuff):
Prisoner of Society (one of my all-time fav songs)
Second Solution
All Torn Down
Save The Day
Pictures in the Mirror (off new album - Roll On)
Heh, I like them better than GC... |

Thanks Chewie for the info and shtuff! | No worries - just ask me about any Aussie bands for info - it's just shutting me up that's the problem. Too many good bands here that never get over there... *shakes head* Good to hear they are getting some airplay though. |

I thought you'd like to hear that they were getting airplay over here in the US, indeed. Just count on me for telling you about anything music related from the US' point of view. |

Other Oz bands, damm where do I start - well how about 28 Days? I know John is a fan too. "Rip it Up" will get you bouncing off the walls and "Sucker" is good too - if I had a dime evertime I saw a sucker, I'd be a rich man mother $#(&$#
Heard of silverchair? "More top 20 singles in Australia than any other local band" as I saw somewhere the other day. Their brand new one is "the greatest view" bit more mellow but it's awesome - I love it.
I could keep going all day here, and I haven't even started on some good pop stuff I'm sure you haven't heard... |

| Yeah, Brant. I've heard of Silverchair. They had a pretty popular song in the U.S. in the summer of '99 I believe. I think it was called "Anna's Song." That was a great song. I think it was about annorexia. |

I want that CD, now. Guess I'll have to go CD looking next time I go out. Or maybe, on Friday I'll get that CD again. Ahh, I knew all the words and everything. Or, I could just you know, download it. But that'd be a waste of my CD-R's...I only have about 10 left. WHICH SUCKS, majorly!!!!
And I'm glad to hear you like JimmyEATWorld. They're friggin awesome! |

| Yep two very awesome songs you guys mentioned there. "Miss you Love" was the single released after "Ana's Song" which was pretty similiar musicly and also very good. "Anthem for the Year 2000" they released before those two singles here as the first song off that album and it rocks! Bit old though now I guess. |
