It appears that KaZaA no longer has the revenue to fight lengthy court battles, and will no longer make new software to connect to the FastTrack network.

However, KaZaA Lite ( http://www.kazaalite.com ) will not be closing or stopping their production, and will probably become your best bet to use altogether. I myself recently switched over to KaZaA Lite, and it runs the same as KaZaA does but it's a little more graphical in it's structure. You will get the same single to triple annoying popup on it from time to time, but that's a small price to pay for no spyware file sharing. This may have sounded like a commercial, but I do realize that people in general use KaZaA on the FastTrack network to download and share Britney videos, and god knows I found an insane amount of my Dragonball collection there, so it's nice to see that we're not in the dark with the folding of Morpheus (note the "two week message" is still on their site) and KaZaA since KaZaA Lite is still around.

but it shows again how powerfull the music industry is.
cause kazaa won the first court against them and now they run out of money and cant continue the fight.

Thats sad
cause no one will ever win a against this unholy and extremly rich industry, cause all they have to do is wait that the oponent runs out off money.

It doesn't matter. Private file sharing will always continue whether it be on company one or company two. The harder they fight, the harder we fight to continue doing what we like.

Case in point:
Sony tried to stop us from using CDs on a PC, and someone cracks the method.

They can drive all the companies they want out of business. They can't win. Money simply cannot beat people with motivation and heart to do what they desire. Artists lose money my ass, the only people who lose money is the fuggin RIAA and the record labels. Artists lose no money from record sales. Artists make their big money through promotional deals, movies, and such.

Do I have to re-download ever song and every video and every image and stuff if I switch to Kazaa Lite? Cuz that would totally suck *Downloaded spider-man*

You should move your downloaded files to a different folder outside of the KaZaA directories. That way, you set them safe. Then go uninstall KaZaA itself and follow that up by installing KaZaA Lite. When you're done, you could (if you wanted to) move the files into the directories of KaZaA Lite.
