LOL, that doesn't happen! My tongue got infected like the second week i had it, and it clears up REALLY fast. You just use mouthwash and within days it's gone. The mouth is the cleanest part of the body, with the saliva constantly cleansing out itself, so it heals infection extremely fast.

Nope. Doesn't interfere at all... Like i said before, you barely even know it's there. The worst part about eating is the first few weeks or so, because it does get swollen right after you do it, they have to put in a longer barbell than you would normally wear, and sometimes you bite it. I learned my lesson after biting it once, it hurts! *lol* But once you have it done long enough, you change it to a short barbell, and you don't even notice it's there anymore.
