The Holy Month of Ramadan - Eternal Allegiance

Ramadan is a month celebrated by Muslims to commemorate the revealing of the Qur'an to Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him). Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset for this month for many reasons. One of them being to teach us self-restraint. Others being to motivate us to give to the poor because it puts us in their position. At the end of each year, Muslims (who can afford it) must give 2.5% of their income to the poor because the Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) said that the rich should look over the poor. So, for all of my other fellow Muslims on this board (i.e SheerJams, Aseel, Shyness etc...) Ramadan Mubarak

Slave4upop, that's really cool you're learning about Islam in school. Can you tell me what you guys are learning? Alot of stuff that spreads about Islam is fake so i just want to make sure you don't get any false information. Also, if you want to ask quesitons, you know which two people to ask...

i have so many friends that are doing the fast. they're writing exams and stuff, but they still doing it.
