MEDIA MEDIA MEDIA...

There has always been this many cases of missing children. 2002 is actually on pace to have LESS missing children than last year. The only reason it seems widespread is because the news channels need something that will get ratings.

I agree with you...what about all the children that been kidnapped previous years, we didnt hear about it as often as we are hearing it now.....

Media will do anything for ratings....and i do mean ANYTHING

I saw it 2 days ago when I was watching Manchester united and they had a text with: Missing! Holly and Jessica call ***********. I think its good the media gives attention to something like this because the more people know what they are looing for (stuff of the kids ect.) the better the could get tips from people.
For example: 5 years ago a 18 year old and her 1 year old child where missing here in the netherlands. From the beginning it was almost sure the dad/bf did it but the police couldnt get the right links to prove he was the one. 1 year after the missing the dad/bf dies from cancer... still without saying a word where his gf and 1 year old daughter was. There was a tv show that has attention for this case everytime there was something new or just repeated the missing people. Now just less then a month ago the brother of the dad/bf came to the parents of the 18 year old and says to them: my brother killed them, he killed them over there.. they found the body's (well what was left) and the reason the brother said it after 5 years: I couldnt hold it anymore.. all the attention is to big and im older now (he was 16 at the time) and i know i have to say it. so the attention could help.

Yeah i heard about that, and of course my mum phoned me up and was telling me to be on my guard, lock my doors and windows because there are alot of nasty people out there, especially where i live in London!!! she told me this just before i was about to go to bed.........Thanks Mum luv ya loads!!
I hope they find them soon i dont understand kidnappers and people like that i guess their just sick and twisted.

i walked to the shops tonight on my own and i was looking everywhere i was so freaked. they are searching the house of a couple now...i hope they find sumthing soon.

I haven´t heard anything about it. But I did saw yesterday that the players and trainer of Man United made a videotape to bring Holly & Jessica back save and that everyone is praying for them. Good thing, hopefully they will come back safe
