you're right, how many other countries would have Bob the Builder at #1 at christmas

but i wouldnt say 1 country has better taste than an other, all charts have bad parts to them, because tastes differ with culture, wherever u are in the world.

Yeah, Bob the Builder. The worst number 1 ever, how embarrising for us English people. Even more embarrising was that it was the best selling record of that year.
