Free flights on September 11th. - Eternal Allegiance

Alrighty, I was watching The View hehe today and Meredeth made a comment about certain airlines giving free flights on September 11th (meaning, it's free on 9/11 ONLY lol

). Joy commented on the fact "since it's free, it's also free for the terrorists." People found that funny, but it makes sense actually. The reason of this conduct is to "keep the American spirit stronger" and to let them know nothing will stand in our way. Very patriotic.

Well will you fly on September 11th? I would if I could I have relatives in San Diego and Chicago, but I have school.. and family.

PS. Any news whether 9/11 will be a national holiday? I think it should be a day of remembrance... just like December 7th. It would be cool though (I know some people are probably like "yay no school!!" but come on! It's something deeper than that, you know?) We have Memorial Day to honor the veterans and such already. Who knows. *shrugs*

That's cool. They (the terrorists) probably wont come back on September 11th, because there will be so many gaurds, but I can't fly then because school starts September something, so I'd miss my first week.

Usama and his cronies wanted to leave their mark on this country, and if you screw over the airlines on that day then they have left their mark. I think they should just treat it like an ordinary day. The remembrance and such is good, but as for the flow of everyday life...I don't think that should be disrupted.

GW and Congress passed this law last year calling September 11 "Patriot's Day". No day off though. Poop.

wow! 100% free? that's great...but I'd guess you'd have to pay to fly back, unless you feel like going across the country for one day....lol kinda sounds fun...

i dunno.. its also a day i think we should all respect. i think it would be great if they could give plane tickets to the victim's family...maybe they could fly and see some family members or something that day to help them, because i know its going to be really hard for them

Oh c'mon to all you people who are scared just because it is a DAY. Do you think they will attack just because it is September 11? They will attack because they hate Americans, not because it is 365 days after the infamous day.

And I guarantee you it will be 10 years before something disasterous happens on a US airplane. If they strike at all now it will be through something else.

I will if i could but im not planning no vacation i have to work, are they going to serve food??? or no peanuts and no water

I really don't know if I'd fly or not. If anything happens, I doubt it would be September 11 since everybody will be expecting it. But we'll have to wait and see.

I voted yes.. Especially for free, you guys are really scared. Don't let terrorists scare you, I'm disappointed in you guys, I was the only up to now to vote yes..
