- Emperor J.P. | Yeah.. they are really going to make them. FFT II should be fun, but it needs to have a little more of a story behind it except for having crazed people murdering each other left and right for almost no apparent reason. |

| Well, yes, I'll admit that the "murder left and right" issue was very apparent.. But the nature of those "people" *cough* justified their actions. Uh, will it be a direct sequel? Or something like Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross (Distant story relationship) or like any good Final Fantasy (No story-related connections at all)?

- Emperor J.P. | Yeah, the nature of them may have been that way, but it negated a good part of the overall story that way.
I don't think it will, although I'd love to know what happened to Ramza and Alma in the end. There's a bit of a distinction between FFX AND FFT there, at least FFT had the gameplay to back it's story up though heh. |

Others think FFT was a disgrace to Final Fantasy *in a whining voice* because of the graphics. I hate people who think graphics are everything.

- Emperor J.P. | Yeah, it's something horrible. I can go through Final Fantasy 1 or Dragon Warrior 1 again though and just relive all the old times. Once Final Fantasy hit 6 though, that's about when it started to go away from being a legendary RPG series to a "let's move into culture" type thing. 7 was the nail in the coffin, even if it was cool. They even took out the end battle fanfare in 7.. killing a huge tradition, and 4 was the last one to play the prelude at the beginning of the game.
I tell you.. what ever happened to tradition.. |

| Isn't it Chrono Break? My "source" wasn't all that reliable, I guess.

Square buys Quest -

Even though Squaresoft bought the rights to the famous Ogre Battle series, they recently bought the development team, Quest, as well. The man responsible for Final Fantasy Tactics and Vagrant Story (and soon Final Fantasy XII) is also the same man who started the Ogre Battle series years ago. Having his team be able to work with him on new games may be the best move Square has made in a while.

Woo hoo!! Ogre Battle on the PS2! Oh, well.. I can hope!
