I just started using live journal two days ago, and I already have a few questions. Could someone help me please? I tried going to the FAQ meny on livejournal, but I don't understand what it's trying to tell me, so I thought I'd ask you guys for some advice. Thanks.

1. How do you get CSS onto your livejournal?
2. How do you get rid of the work 'link' on the bottom of the livejournal layout near the comment links?
3. How do you change what the comment links say?
4. How do you change the layout to go to the left/right of the page instead of the middle?
5. How do you make it so your wallpaper on livejournal is non-moving?

I think I can answer most of your questions fairly easily. Go to you LJ info then manage then customize. Then hit the link on that page that says Modify Journal. In the box labeled overrides copy and paste this code in and just change it to fit your style:

Under the part where it says:

table {
width: 50%;
margin-left: 50%;
margin-right: 00

you can change the numbers to make the journal go on whatever side you like.

I use this code in generator style. I don't know how well it will work in other styles. You can click on the picture in my sig to see my LJ. I copied and pasted that code from mine so you can have some idea of what it will look like.

Sorry I'm not very good at explaining stuff but no one ever explained it to me and I learned just by playing around. I personally haven't figured out how to change what the comments links say. I was about to go try it out when I saw your post.

Bev, could you tell me the code to just change the background of your LJ? And have it fixed, too? Or do I have to use that whole code in order to change the background?

Honestly I don't remeber where I got that code. I wanna say a friend of mine gave me thier code to I could fix up mine so I really have no clue how it works. lol
