Although, I do think that it's a nice idea to have at least one per couple. You know, just to keep the family going. |
lol, you'll have to turn straight to live up to those words.
Make no mistake about it though. The number of people refusing to have children grows each year. We're not talking about a few people not having children, we're talking about a decrease in population growth rate on a world wide scale. A decrease that can already be expressed in whole percentages.
There are a lot of reasons why this decrease is happening. One of those reasons is that more and more people come from broken homes. They promise themselves never to do that to their own children, and then discover that they don't have control over that. Along with the fact that products especially designed for babies and children, as well as education and such get more and more expensive as years go by. People have to work double jobs to cover the expenses, which leads to mommy and daddy growing apart, and children spending more time with strangers from Childcare or grandma and grandpa than they do with their own parents.
As a result we see divorce rate growing every year. A huge chunk of that group has children running around not being able to deal with the circumstances and under the flag of 'my parents have no time for me' end up seeking refuge in street gangs where taking care of eachother is priority number one. Other kids get sent around the family to spend a few years here, then a few years there and ultimately become an unstable pawn in society for lack of a stable foundation that should have been put there by their parents at a young age.
The evolution of the human race is a pattern that keeps repeating itself. It starts with a huge group of spermcells happily on their way to life, most of them die off and only one or two, sometimes three make it to destiny. Globally a huge group of children is then happily sent out on their way to heaven and only a few make it through alright.
But what they do on the other side of the world is not our business. We don't have to care about this planet cause we're not on it that long for one, and in that short time the chance of making a difference is decreasing because unity is currently being sucked out of society. We all know is that the world is on it's way to doomsday, but we'll never live to see that cause that's still generations away. So eventually our purpose is to see what to do with
our lives. Do we want our children to grow up in a world like this, yes or no? That's a question that can't just be answered in a minute or two. So most people don't look that far into the future. "It's nice to have kids, so why not?" "Sure thing yay!" Or "we don't have the money right now, dear". Or, "the biggest sin in life is life itself". All options are alright choices. Don't ever let anybody tell you otherwise.
