i dont like that because it seems to be a thing where people try to make money and people just look folward to getting gifts when it is ment to be a religious time for people who belive in god and belive in what happened to jesus

Sorry, not me. To me it has never been about Jesus, but rather a time when the whole family gets together and spends some quality time talking and getting piss faced.

But what can we do about those people that like to get rich off other people? There will always be people like that.

More or less same here... of course when I was younger I
guess it was all about the present and stuff... now I think
what I am looking most forward to is, to get my mom's
Christmas cooking - and maybe spending some time with my
brother, whom I don't see too often anymore as he's moved
out as well... my parent I visit ~1/month... but yea... food'n'
family is what matters to me

It's true that many people forget about the true meaning of Christmas, I've done that before, but my parents will usually remind me as the are half religious.

For me Christmas is about spending time with family and friends and just generally having a great time. I'm obsessed with decorations as well.

People definately don't take into consideration the real true meaning of Christmas. I'm not that religious, but i still know the true meaning.

I don't need the decorations, the presents, and all that crap. Heck, screw the family part, too, because i obviously don't have that anymore.

Give me some rum and eggnog, and screw everything else.

xmas for me is stay with ur family and friends and have a great time and try to forget all ur problems... and the best part: GIFTS....

I don't believe in God and Jesus so there's no Jesus for me.

But I do hate when people are mean to eachother at Christmas.

Christmas is really a Pagan holiday that was redone as a Christian event. The pagan festival that used to take place was called Yule. Ever wonder where the "Christmas" tree came from? Yep, a Yule pagan symbol of fertility. So, the real meaning of Christmas has nothing to do with Jesus at all. The ancient Christians just turned a Pagan holiday into a Christian one. Same applies for Easter.

For me, Christmas is about being with my family and friends.
