For me, Christmas is about being with my family and friends.
Thats true! It really started as a Pagan holiday.

And it isn't religious for me, hasn't even been either. Its about giving to others and having fun to me.

i agree i really am not religous at all and if it werent for the whole comercialism of the holiday i wouldnt like it at all...im not in it for the whole religoius meaning, i just like the lights and i would be perfectly happy surrounded by my friends rather than my selfish family who judges you by the size of your gift so for christmas i would much rather hang with kim and not worry about the whole thing...

But what can we do about those people that like to get rich off other people? There will always be people like that.
you read my mind!

I agree with most of ya...
I dont believe in Jesus or a God, so i dont spend xmas thinking about something that doesnt exists. My mom and dad grew up going to church ect, so when i was young i didnt get presents and if my sis and i had a fight that day my mom would say: shut up its xmas blabla..
Since like 2 years we do give presents to each other and i like that... just being togheter with family means alot more to me then celebrate something that never happend!

Aye .

And what we know as 'Santa Claus' was originally a Germanish
fella, who gave the kids, who had been good, presents. It's
something like that... can't remember the exact story, but
I do remember it being part of a Danish Christmas TV-calendar
some years ago. Probably possible to find it somewhere on
Google if one wants to read up on the exact wording .

I am currently questioning my faith in Jesus and the Catholic faith. But I definitely think it's a shame that Christmas can sometimes be made completely superficial as if it's only meant as a time for getting high priced gifts.

Christmas is a season of love and giving, in my view. You spend time with the people that matter the most to you. You show them how much you appreciate them. In most cases that includes exchanging gifts. But material gifts don't replace a person's company.
